In an unprecedented collaboration, the Whitney and the Philadelphia Museum of Art are staging a simultaneous retrospective-the largest of Johns’s seven-decade career-that offers a fresh take on the artist. The radical, inventive art of Jasper Johns continues to influence today’s artists like few others. On, Wednesday, October 13 the AFA membership took an exclusive, before-hours tour of Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror with Chrissie Iles, Anne and Joel Ehrenkranz Curator, and Kim Conaty, Steven and Ann Ames Curator of Drawings and Prints at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
